Paul Adamson, MD, MPH  is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he specializes in Infectious Diseases. Dr. Adamson is interested in global health, sexually transmitted infections, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Currently, he is collaborating with our group on a research project aimed at improving the diagnosis of C. trachomatis and N. gonorrhoeae infections, as well as identifying the prevalence and risk factors for AMR in N. gonorrhoeae, among people in a HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) program in Hanoi, Vietnam. Dr. Adamson attended UC Berkeley for his undergraduate and MPH degrees and completed medical school at UC San Francisco. He did residency training in Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital before completing his fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at UCLA.
