Gjermayne Wilson
Research Coordinator and MPH Student
Gjermayne is currently pursuing her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, emphasizing Biology, Chemistry, and Economics, from San Diego State University in the spring of 2021. While in her MPH program, she is the lead research coordinator involved in a clinical trial evaluating the clinical efficacy of oral cefixime medication versus standard care penicillin G in the treatment of early syphilis infections in both HIV-infected and uninfected men and women. Additionally, she works as a research associate and medical assistant/phlebotomist at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Los Angeles. She aspires to contribute to the medical field, advocating for the enhancement of standard healthcare and striving to address injustices within the healthcare system.
