Andy is a first-year medical student at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He graduated from UCLA with a B.Sc. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics and a minor in Public Health. Andy is assisting with a study exploring the genomic epidemiology of T. pallidum, the causative agent of syphilis, in Southern Africa to obtain molecular insight into the strains in circulation and to ensure geographic-inclusive vaccine development efforts. Outside of research, Andy is involved in leadership with the USC Student-Run Clinic and the Keck Internal Medicine Interest Group.
