Sahirah Ellis
Master’s Student
Sahirah is currently a Progressive Degree student working towards a Bachelor’s in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and a Master’s in Applied Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Southern California. Sahirah is assisting with a study which aims to understand the association between various housing types such as permanent supportive housing and resilience.
Outside of research, Sahirah is a member of USC’s Women’s club volleyball and a tutor at the School on Wheels Skid Row Learning Center. She also works part-time at Downtown Women’s Center where she coordinates health and infectious disease resources and planning for all staff, residents, and Skid Row community participants.
