On Wednesday, Oct 19th, 2022, Dr. Chibuzor Babalola was invited by Dr. Koy Parada at Azusa Pacific University to give a guest lecture to her senior nursing students. Dr. Babalola discussed valuable lessons learned in global health research, shared her personal experiences and presented our research projects in Botswana and South Africa. Dr. Babalola’s research directly impacts clinical care globally and locally, and she was able to provide “best practices” for the nursing students to utilize in their own field work. Her lecture will help the students become better nurses – provide insight on how to communicate and interact with patients and communities who have languages and cultures different from their own.
